KB6YNO computer system upgrade

Good day,

I've finally upgraded the computer that is part of my Winlink 2000 station. I bought it from Amazon as a refurbished mini-tower with Win 10 for less than $150 US shipped to my house. I'm now running:

Dell Optiplex 755 mini-tower
Intel Core Duo 2 CPU (E8400) @ 3.00 GHz x 2
8 GB RAM
Windows 10 Home 64-bit version
Dedicated SIIG dual serial port PCI card, so I don't have to use USB-to-serial converters

KC9SGV-10 Packet Winlink RMS in Chicago

Hi All,
KC9SGV is running a new Packet Winlink node in the Western suburbs of Chicago.
Call: KC9SGV-10
Frequency: 145.610 MHz simplex. No Pl.
Antenna elevation is 30 ft, omni-directional.
Power is 45 Watts.
Please connect for testing.

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
