For our users within the EU, ARSFI will take reasonable measures to ensure your Personal Data remain protected in compliance with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Policy has been revised, made clearer, and complies with recent changes in EU law. Attention RMS Sysops: SCS Modem Firmware Update

SCS has released a new firmware production version 2.30.30 for the SCS Dragon modem that incorporates bug fixes and a solution to the problem reported earlier here.

Please update your firmware! It's available at the SCS web site along with the firmware loader.

Linux RMS Gateway Sysops: Release 2.4.0 is Available!

Release 2.4.0 of Linux RMS Gateway software has just been made available for download. Sysops who are running non-conforming gateways (see an earlier post) should update their systems. The software is available on the LinuxRMS group at yahoogroups.com as rmsgw-2.4.0-181.tgz. See the post from author Brian Eckert, W3SG on the LinuxRMS group for more important information.

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
