Many of you are aware that there is a very strong geomagnetic storm taking place. As a precautionary measure, the WA7TPB-10 Winlink system at the Port Townsend Firehouse has been temporarily shut down to avoid any possible damage to the components.
The system will be reactivated as soon as the planetary K-index falls to normal levels (see www.spaceweather.com).
Sorry for the inconvenience.

WA7TPB-10 Sysop
P.S.> I hope you had a chance to see the beautiful aurora last night.
As planned, WA7TPB-10 has moved to a new location in Port Townsend. The antenna is now mounted on the fire station radio tower at the 45 foot level, and HamWAN is the internet backhaul. The system is working well.
The WA7TPB-10 VHF RMS will be off the air for several days, in order to move the system to a new location. The plan is to be operational next Tuesday afternoon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
