On Monday at 6 PM, the internet connection will be disconnected for a period of 24 hours. RMS Relay will provide temporary storage of messages, and local routing of messages. Users can post email traffic, but it will not be automatically forwarded to a CMS via the internet. Instead, WA7TPB-10 will act as a local server (i.e., a local post office). This will give users an opportunity to check out the post office feature and assess its utility.
For the next 24 hours, the internet connection to the WA7TPB-10 RMS will be disconnected. The purpose is to give the Clallam County ARES group an opportunity to practice posting and retrieving messages under simulated emergency conditions.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: The operating frequency for the WA7TPB-10 VARA-FM RMS has changed to 144.93 MHz.. This change was necessary in order to mitigate interference issues caused by the increased number of users on 145.65 MHz.
