KM3N/W7TSA RMS station - Chandler AZ

Good day.

I am one of the Communications Leaders for The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services office in Phoenix AZ. From my home (we can't run unattended gear at the HQ) I operate three (3) HF RMS Gateways, a VHF or UHF RMS Packet Gateway upon demand, and in a Salvation Army EDS truck, a mobile RMS either HF or Packet as needed. I am in the process of adding a few more remote HF gateways in the Arizona White Mountains at elevations between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. The purpose of these RMS Gateways is to serve the public and the mission of The Salvation Army.

Gateway at Great Mills, Maryland

Welcome to my page.
I'm Ray kb3fww, I operate a gateway in the southern part of St. Mary's County, Maryland.
I'm also the EC and RACES Officer for the County.

The station is made up of a Kenwood TM-V71A, Kantronics KPC-3 Plus, Diamond Dual Band antenna @ 25 feet and a Dell Desktop PC.
The QTH is approximately 120 feet above sea level.
I want to reconfigure the station in the near future using a FT-1500 and Raspberry Pi, TNC-Pi running Winlink Linux gateway software.

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
