KA4UPC-10 RMS created for north Pinellas County, FL

I resurrected an old PiGate as a PiGate RMS that will let me connect to county EOC since I am out of range of their VHF gateway. This is to practice with winlink messaging for emergency use.

W7YAM-12 @ 145.090 Has Access to the CMS Again

After 10 months of no Internet at the site, it came back on 6/8. Don't know how long it will last, as it only lasted 5 months last year when the Internet was restored after an 6 month outage. Though prior to that we had several years with minimal outages.

Currently there are plans to relocate this to a site in Newberg. Won't have the advantage of the height from the hill, but will be located at a location that is reported to have a managed Internet source and long term emergency power capabilities.

VHF Antenna swap

Connections to the packet side fell of a cliff. Finally pulled the coax and the SWR was 9. Swapped in the APRS antenna so packet and VARA FM should be back online. Might be a while before a diagnosis can be performed on the failed antenna.

We need PCB Designer, fabricator and supply chain expertise. Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software.
