Teaching Emcomm Awareness to Rescue Academy in Baja CA MX

Myself (N6KZB/XE2) and XE2SI gave a demo of how HF and Winlink can assist in remote areas for communications.
Course leaders are XE2DDA and XE2DDB, rescue instructors, ambulance company owners, and the son XE2DDB is a doctor.

The group is studying and doing field work at a technical college to prepare students for Rescue operations.
They are certified and become volunteers to staff Rescue equipped ambulances, as part of Rescue Hawks.
Located in Tijuana they respond to public and agency requests for their needed skill set, to Rosarito, Tijuana,
and venues within about 75 miles. They are the most advanced and equipped to respond and
training level is similar to Advanced EMT and basic Extraction levels.

Part of the new course session is how to communicate on long term events beyond their local FM radio systems.
A portable HF Winlink kit is being prepared for their use. Based on an Icom 7300, SCS modem, and simple End Fed wire.
In testing today it worked well on 40 meters to several gateways despite bad bands, Pactor gets through.
They will have their own specific field HTML templates to send back to operations.
