Pikes Peak ARES Winlink Exercise -- KD0SFY

We just wrapped up a very simple Winlink only exercise. This was done using telnet connections instead of radio connections, just to get people a bit more familiar with Winlink without needing to buy a new radio or external sound card. We had 27 participants, mostly from Pike Peak ARES, but a few others from other areas. Thanks to fellow participants:

N6VTS, KG0VY, K0JT, WB0YAF, KD0SMP, KN0MAP, KE6LL, K3ILC, KB0VVA, KC0ET, K0JSC, N0AMP, KE0RGP, KE0KYB, AE5OQ, KO0Y, KE0SYG, W0UHU, NK0E, N9VAN, K0LCM, W4KAD, K6BUB, K0SAZ, N7LV, and KE0CHM

KD0SFY Gateway online for temporary use

Brought up my gateway a couple days ago for testing and for temporary use with hurricane Florence. Re=purposing what is normally an APRS 30 meter gateway. It looks like it is working and passing messages, but for some reason when I change frequencies in the RMS Trimode channel list, the old frequencies don't clear out. Taking the station back down for at least 6 hours during the night to see if that will fix the problem. Will bring it back up in the morning.
