WA7TPB-10 Now in Port Townsend WA

VHF RMS WA7TPB-10 (144.93 MHz) has been relocated to Port Townsend, WA (grid square CN88oc), and I am in the process of setting up the system components. The antenna is the most challenging part; expect to see the signal strength vary quite a bit in the short term, until the mast can be erected. Also, note that the Winlink VARA-FM map will take at a day to catch up to my new address.

New transciever online

After many years of uninterrupted service my Icom IC-725 is now retired. An Icom IC-718 has been turned on to do the 24/7/365 work as SM5RVH Winlink gateway. Use it as much as you like!

Winlink -SSID

MY stations will be running the following -SSID.
I am using the APRS -SSID. This is to help Winlink and APRS user to use this station.
APRS and WINLINK -SSID
-0 Your primary station usually fixed and message capable.
-1 generic additional station, digi, mobile, wx, etc.
-2 generic additional station, digi, mobile, wx, etc.
-3 generic additional station, digi, mobile, wx, etc.
-4 generic additional station, digi, mobile, wx, etc.
-5 Other networks (DStar, iPhone, RADIO MAIL for iPhone, Androids, Blackberry's etc.)

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
