Winlink VHF i-gate HR2DDL-1 and digipeater HR2DDL-8 are down.

We are sad to inform that the HR2DDL-1 i-gate and the HR2DDL-8 digipeater are down due to equipment damage of thunderstorms in the area. At the moment I can not say when replacement equipment will be available to replace the damage radios and TNCs. Will post when I have news

N7GRB-10 Status

Station is going thru an upgrade and will be intermittently up/down.

Gateway is switching from a Raspberry Pi / TNC-Pi HAT running linbpq to a mini-PC with DRA-50 running RMS Packet software. Upgraded station will be dual-mode packet / VARA FM.

KI4WPI RMS TriMode gateway/Relay now using an IC-M710

The RMS gateway now is online using an Icom IC-M710 for Pactor 2,3, VARA and Ardop modes. Tests show the radio is operating at its rated output for each mode. switching to the M710 from the IC-707 should provide a more reliable connection, especially with VARA and ARDOP. Please email me any feedback you may have on how the gateway is now performing. -Gary KI4WPI

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
