My Gateway is now under the control of a Raspberry Pi - 4B built from the KM4ACK YouTube videos, "Winlink Gateway Using Raspberry Pi and LINBPQ", and ""Raspberry Pi Safe Shuttdown Button Script". I do not get the same information from this setup as I do from the Winlink applications available on winlink.org, but it does free up a laptop, and seems well-suited for a portable gateway or digipeater.
It has been a considerable while but Windows Update bit me the other day. I thought I had this figured out but I must have missed something. Oh well.
On another note, my gateway (except for the PC) has been running off a solar-charged battery system for about four months now. I still have to get the PC on 13.8 VDC power. I have a 12-24 volt to 19 volt converter sitting here. I just need to get off my butt and do it.
