W5DMH-10 is back online after a 5yr hiatus!

W5DMH-10 is back on the air after a 5yr hiatus. Originally I took down my Winlink station when I moved. Of course I had the intention of setting it back up again after settling in. That was 3 moves ago. Now we are in our forever home and I have put the Winlink station back up serving Packet, Pactor and ARDOP modes on 2m, 40m and 80m.

J73WIN Dominica ITU Gateway back in service.

Yes, 3 months without Internet is unacceptable, but locals were able to get it restored.
It did operate in HF auto mode, but no updates and not optimal operation.

Update your lists.

8P6BWS Gateway - Barbados
An ITU sponsored system

Now available on Pactor 3 and 4, plus Vara HF and Ardop.
A few installation bugs to work out.

-Battery backup, solar to be added later.
-Secure facility.
-Icom 7300 and OCF antenna.
-SCS Dragon 7400 modem.
-Vara FM being added later for local use.

Want to thank XE1BRX who assisted in the technical info for the local team.
Local installation team: 8P6PE, 8P6PD, 8P6GW, 8P5RE, (great and active group)!

Next will be Antigua and Guyana, thanks to ITU funding.

We need PCB Designer, fabricator and supply chain expertise. We need developers who can move our programs to new platforms and environments, keep pace with internet mail and security standards, and to help innovate for the future. Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
