VK4UI HF VARA gateway

My RMS is setup up to the 40,30 and 20 metre Bands. If you need a specific frequency for a particular journey please let me know and I will try to accommodate you.
The RMS has battery and solar backup for emergencies.
I am using a multiband horizontal offset dipole and tuner. The radiation pattern suits most applications in Queensland and I live along the mid east coast of Australia.

My RMS's transmitter is a fan-cooled Yaesu FT-891 with 75 watts output. . The audio interface is a SignaLink USB box connected to a Dell 7600 PC running RMS Trimode software on Windows 11.

The RMS settings are:
. Mode = VaraHF only.
. Session Timeout = 45 minutes, unregistered VARA connections limited to 30 minutes.
. Maximum Daily Usage = 150 minutes.
. Wide channel bandwidth = 2750 Hz, 500 Hz connections accepted.
. Morse ID = on.
. Service Codes available = PUBLIC (default), WICEN and VK4WICEN on request.
. Availability = H24, except when testing and voice transmissions (check our VARA status on https://winlink.org/RMSChannels).

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software.
