AI7HH-10 Frequency Change

The AI7HH-10 packet/VaraFM gateway frequency was changed to 441.300 MHz to match the frequency used by K7ARC-10, which is located in central Phoenix. Both K7ARC-10 and AI7HH-10 are set up to enable digipeater functionality for VaraFM. Therefore, licensed Vara users may use either station to reach the other, or for P2P connections. Use digipeater IDs K7ARC and AI7HH, respectively.

For Winlink users in the Phoenix area, this change may also allow you to reach the AI7HH-10 gateway, which is a Hybrid RMS station and will forward your messages via HF during an internet outage. You may also register AI7HH as one of your Message Pick-Up Stations (MPS) in Winlink Express to allow you to retrieve messages sent to you during an internet outage.

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software.
