TG9AOR VARA HF and VARA FM Gateways Off the Air

Due to persistent faults with Windows software (Sound Cards becoming deaf inadvertently) I have decided to change operation from 24/7. Thank you to the administrators of this System for letting me participate.

AI7HH-10 Frequency Change

The AI7HH-10 packet/VaraFM gateway frequency was changed to 441.300 MHz to match the frequency used by K7ARC-10, which is located in central Phoenix. Both K7ARC-10 and AI7HH-10 are set up to enable digipeater functionality for VaraFM. Therefore, licensed Vara users may use either station to reach the other, or for P2P connections. Use digipeater IDs K7ARC and AI7HH, respectively.

W7YAM-10 VHF RMS Dual Mode Gateway Now Has a UHF Dual Mode Partner

The new UHF W7YAM-10 RMS Dual Mode Gateway now supports both 1200 baud Packet and Wide Mode VARA FM.

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
