KK4ZUU 40M -status-

I noticed my rig was not functioning correctly anymore with RMS Trimode (v1.3.3.0).

I had applied the workaround mentioned in the setup guide for sysops to keep Windows 7 from changing the comm port upon any disconnect/power off of the rig. Well, Windows knows best and changed the serial port anyway so my rig could hear you but could not respond.

I have reset the com port for rig control, lets see how it goes today.

HB9AK with improved service on 20m

Today (August 23), a fourth TRX was installed at RMS HB9AK. It stays fixed on the 20m QRG (14'110.4 (Center) or 14'108.9 (Dial)). No scanning - it will respond immediately to any connect (unless it is busy already on this QRG).
Furthermore, an SCS Tracker was added for 20m, so it is possible to use Robust Packet Radio in addition to Pactor 1-4 and WINMOR. Robust Packet service on 30m remains available as before.

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software.
