Announcing the 2021 ARSFI Awards

Established in the Winter of 2020 by the Amateur Radio Safety Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors, the ARSFI Awards were established to foster local contingency communications activity and solid agency relationships. ARSFI awards five $2,000 equipment grants annually. Grants will be paid as follows: $2,000.00 by check to the selected applicants after receipt of proof of purchase of the equipment the applicant detailed in their applications.

Grantee Selection Criteria:

  • Local community contingency communications and equipment plan 30%
  • Duration and depth of activity on the Winlink system on behalf of a served agency 20%
  • Endorsement letter by an NGO or Government Agency officer or leader 20%
  • Local contingency communications organization or community involvement 20%
  • Financial Need 10%

Applicants must be a licensed radio amateur and an established Winlink system user of age 15 or above. Applicants may not be or be related to a Winlink administrator or ARSFI corporate director. Grantees will be evaluated and selected based upon their submitted applications and supplemental material.
