VA7DGP-10 UPDATE: OFFLINE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

After getting the radio room floors and walls repaired. I was tacking up the coax and Internet cable to the wall. I moved the Dual band coax around the PC.immediately the PC shut off. I check the 110 v line, that was ok. Check power cable, that was OK. So I have one dead PC. I hope to get a new mother board, and if power surge,spike didn't kill hard drive I should be back on next week.

I have a water leak in the room where equipment is. I have to shut PC/Radio down to make room for the maintenace work..

VA7DGP: UPDATE TO MY SYSTEM

A couple local advance hams suggested I should be an advance operator to run a Winlink Gateway. I turned off the Winlink reported etc until this situation had be rectified. I got the info from Industry Canada. I'm back on the AIR.. I do have Basic with Honours which allows me 100 watts of RF on HF..Pactor here we come

Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
