K4NWX Gateway return to service

After extensive station upgrades, the K4NWX gateway in Anderson SC is now back online.
I was very surprised at the number of people who called and emailed to see if everything
was ok. I am glad to see the number of people who use the gateway- that makes
it all worth the effort ! Station has returned to service 9/10/24 at 7pm Eastern

K4NWX downtime

The K4NWX gateway will be down sporadically during the last 2 weeks of August for station upgrades and reconfiguration. Please try the KO4HJO gateway during this time.

K4NWX back online

The K4NWX gateway is back online on a temporary antenna while we deal with station repairs. Transmission/reception distance may be degraded for the next few days until I get my normal antenna back up

We need developers who can move our programs to new platforms and environments, keep pace with security standards, and to help innovate for the future. Outstanding Volunteers

The Winlink system is run entirely by volunteers. Those called Gateway Station Sysops, who support and run over a thousand stations around the world, are special. They are essential for providing the radio network that allows us to use Winlink radio email. Without them, there is no Winlink. If you use Winlink radio email, make sure to thank your sysops by sending them an email to their RMSCALLSIGN-at-winlink.org address.You can find their contact information by mousing over their call sign on the RMS List tab here.

Apart from the Gateway Station Sysops and Development Team, there are other volunteers that run e-mail groups and tutorials, manage user accounts, register software, update the network's assets and catalogs, test and debug products, provide training, and independently write software. They all work together to keep the Winlink system running smoothly. Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers, authors and developers who contribute to the Winlink system.
